Cassava Starch Production Line Workflow
Raw materials → Loader feed hopper → Quantitative conveying → Drum washing → Paddle washing → Feeding elevator → Raw material crushing → Slurry-residue separation → Slurry separation → Secondary refining → Starch sand removal and purification → Cyclone washing → Vacuum dehydration → Airflow drying → Finished starch
Starch Processing Line Working Principle
Physical crushing and multi-stage washing and separation leverage differences in specific gravity and fluid properties to separate starch from impurities such as potato residue, mud, fiber, and protein. In the processing, the raw material is first washed to remove surface mud and sand. Then, crushing breaks down the cell structure, releasing the particles. Subsequently, the starch slurry undergoes multiple purification processes using sieving, cyclone distillation, microfiltration, and vacuum dehydration. Finally, low-temperature airflow drying yields a finished starch product with stable moisture content.

Features of Cassava Starch Processing Line
Process Flow
This starch production line features a process from raw material cleaning, crushing, and separation to starch washing, dehydration, and airflow drying. The connections between sections are logical, the production route is clear, and the risk of contamination is reduced. This capacity is suitable for medium-sized enterprises.
Multi-stage Cleaning
The cleaning section employs an automatic feeding potato washing machine, an inclined cage potato washing machine, and a paddle-type washing machine. Through rolling friction, water flow rinsing, and blade agitation, the raw materials are graded and cleaned from coarse to fine. This design effectively removes mud, impurities, and some of the outer skin from the raw material surface.
Crushing Particle Size
The equipment features a hammer mill structure and is equipped with a 2.5-3mm screen. This design avoids damaging the particle structure. Particle size control improves starch stripping efficiency and avoids quality problems caused by over-crushing.
Separation and Microfiltration
The starch separation section uses multiple separation devices. A stepwise sieving and filtration process, using 80–100 mesh, 160 mesh, and 200–240 mesh screens, removes starch residue, coarse fiber, fine silt, and slag in layers, achieving a high degree of starch purity.
Washing and Dewatering
The equipment uses a multi-stage starch hydrocyclone to wash the starch slurry, separating protein, oil, and light impurities. Subsequently, a vacuum negative pressure dewatering machine is used to adsorb the starch onto the surface of the drum and rapidly dehydrate it.
Low-Temperature Airflow Drying
The drying section employs a low-temperature drying method. The moisture content of the dried starch can be stably controlled at 9%–13%.

Advantages of the Starch Making Machines
Starch Yield
A high starch yield effectively reduces raw material waste and increases the economic return per unit of raw material. Increased starch yield reduces raw material waste and improves return on investment.
Purity
The integrated application of multi-stage washing, separation, microfiltration, and cyclone washing processes reduces the content of impurities, silt, and slag in the finished product.
Energy Consumption
The entire production line uses continuous production and water recycling methods, reducing energy consumption. The combination of vacuum dehydration and airflow drying also reduces consumption during the drying stage.
Raw Material Range
Suitable for the production of starch from various tubers such as sweet potatoes and potatoes.
Management
A centralized electrical control system simplifies operation and facilitates monitoring and adjustment of process parameters.
